From Hard Time to Full Time
Looking for a fresh start? This workshop is for ex-offenders (released, on probation or on parole) who are looking for tips on finding and keeping employment and also wish to discuss ways to overcome the barriers to employment that people with criminal histories face. The Work Opportunity Tax Credit will be discussed and information will be given on how ex-offenders and businesses can take advantage of it. Presented by WorkOne staff. GED and Adult Basic Education Classes
These classes are structured for individuals who need to prepare for and obtain a GED high school equivalency diploma by taking a test. Or for adults who may have a high school diploma but just need to brush up on their basic skills. No pre-registration is required. Cost of the placement test and books is $20.

Advanced Usage of Indiana Career Connect
The state of Indiana has launched a cutting edged tool to assist you in you job search. Learn the details of what this system has to offer in a staff led format. You will wak through the assessments available in this system, the resources in this system, and be shown how to post multiple resumes to mirror your job interests. In order to attend this workshop you must have an active and matchable resume in the ICC system.
Basic Computer Concepts-Part 1(Must be registered)
Do you feel as if the technology revolution has left you behind? Do computers intimidate you? Do you know how to operate a computer? The most requested workshop is now available at WorkOne! This two-session workshop will introduce beginners to the basic functions and concepts of the computer. This workshop will include information on word processing, Internet, and Windows operating system. Only 15 seats will be available. You must be registered by a WorkOne staff member to attend this workshop.

You will also explore the difference between traditional and non-traditional programs, explore how work and life credits may apply to you, discuss the different types of student loans that are available, and the basics of controlling student debt. This is a must attend workshop for any person that is considering additional education.
Job Search and Networking Group
Join other job seekers to network, share job leads, tips, and successes, and work together to overcome obstacles and celebrate successes. An open discussion forum facilitated by a WorkOne Advisor who will also cover a weekly job search topic.

Mindleaders Open Lab
An open lab to allow access to customers that have sought out received a Mindleaders Account. If you are curious as to what Mindleaders is and can do for your employment search, then please ask any WorkOne staff member for assistance and information.

An outreaching event for Business Professionals that are unemployed or underemployed to meet together and network with each other. Breakout sessions on resume development, interviewing, and LinkedIn will be held. Promotional announcements about WorkOne College Park will also be made. Career Assessment Testing
Career assessment testing consists of three different components: Caps - tests abilities in eight different areas such as mechanical reasoning, spacial relationships, and verbal reasoning; Cops - tests a customers preferred activities while at work; Copes - tests a customers work values. The summary results of all three components will reveal to the custmer what kind of industry they have the highest interests in as well as the highest probability of success

TABE & COP's Assessment Testing
Career exploration begins with finding out what your work values, interests, and abilities are as they relate to today's job market. Assessment testing will help you to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses to determine if you are already marketable or need additional training. Extended Benefits
Customers on this program are required to go through this orientation and complete paperwork to receive extended unemployment benefits. This benefit provides eligible Hoosiers with additional unemployment insurance benefits. It is potentially available to Hoosiers who have exhausted their state and federal unemployment benefits. Entry into this workshop requires a letter from the State of Indiana.
